Team Prerequisites

• You should be at least 16 years old to work without an adult.
• People who do not have an animal may also register as NCTD Volunteer.
• Only domesticated animals may become NCTD therapy animals.
• Dogs must be at least 1 year old.*
• Dogs need to be in good health and be current with inoculations.
• Dogs must have lived with you for at least six months.*
• Dogs must be reliably housebroken.
• Dogs must not be trained in bite work.

* Other animals may have different criteria.
