About Dr. Katie Malehorn: Dr. Katie earned her veterinary degree from The University of Georgia and has been practicing in the D.C. Metro area since 2015. She specializes in Preventative Medicine, Geriatric Care, Dentistry, and Surgery, with additional expertise in Behavior Medicine and Shelter Medicine. Dr. Katie has also worked abroad in Perugia, Italy, and Edinburgh, Scotland, focusing on Neurology and Internal Medicine.
She is passionate about Fear-Free techniques and has taken on leadership roles within the American Medical Veterinary Association. Outside of veterinary medicine, you’ll likely find her on a golf course, as she’s an active member of the DC and Baltimore LPGA Amateur Association.
To bring comfort, healing, and learning to children and adults with certified therapy animals.
